Near the beginning of 2004 'Life Happened' and I found myself without a job. During my search for new employment opportunities I began to reevaluate what direction my life and career was taking me. I was fortunate enough to be in a situation where I could go back to school to further my education or take a totally different route. One glaring ommission from my previous career was the lack of human contact and an overall sense of being helpful.

The original thought to become a massage therapist was introduced to me several years before this change when a friend gave up a lucrative and successful practice as a CPA to become a massage therapist. I had never thought it was possible for me, but went for it anyway. After checking out several schools in the area I found Suncoast II, the Tampa Bay School of Massage Therapy. Enrollment was a simple decision and I began an intensive six month course in therapeutic massage.

The concept of healing and relaxation came easy to me and I began to realize the diversity of techniques available for me to learn. My education is ongoing and I actively seek out new modalities and techniques with a hope to share them with the people I come in contact with.

I am a current member of the Florida State Massage Therapy Association as well as a member of the Tampa Bay Chapter's Sports Massage team.
